BridgED College & Beyond is a registered 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization founded by highly qualified professional educators.  Our advisors have several years of experience working with students on high school academics, college readiness, career match, college and financial aid application process and just anything related to success - in high school and beyond.  The main story is: Having worked with hundreds of students at school settings a group of high school educators agreed that they can leverage their knowledge and experience by expanding academic and college advising support via online platform and make it available to all students.

 We Believe that ...

......college education should no longer be a choice. It should be considered as a natural transition every student will take after high school.  The same as the transition from elementary to middle, from middle to high schools.

…..access to academic and college advising should be equally available and accessible to all students, regardless of their circumstances and that it is a basic educational right of every student, which should be open and available to all.

….with opportunities to take AP and Dual Credit courses, college education starts in high school and with the right academic plan, all students can graduate high school having already started their college degrees.

….there is a college for every student. Success is about finding the best fit, making the right academic preparations, following the admissions requirements and making the right decision.

….academic and college guidance should be integrated into every aspect of high school education and that informed students and parents are the key to college success.

We know that…

….. in a traditional public high school there is an average of 1 counselor per 476 to 700 students.

…. public high school counselors spend only 22% of their overall time to college counseling and a typical student will meet with a college counselor for only 38 minutes altogether over the four years in high school.

…. every student, given the right and enough guidance, can go to college and pursue her or his career goals.

…. students who receive academic and college guidance are more prepared and more successful in high school, college and beyond.

Our goal is:

…...to make academic and college guidance services accessible to all students by providing ongoing online individual support on academic and college guidance services, as well as supporting in situations students need urgent assistance and questions. If you are a high school student in need of more comprehensive and individualized academic and college guidance, join the BridgeED program.
